Back to School... already?!

How could the summer of 2013 be drawing to a close?!  It seems impossible, but here we are at the eve of the first day of school again. Grade 3 is a big step for Faith as she is going to a new school here in Hanson - Indian Head Elementary. She is so excited...we met her teacher tonight at open house, Mrs. Small; yes, she is small in stature (I was curious) but seems very nice (so far).
We already knew her two closest friends from last year have different teachers but Faith was relieved to NOT find a couple of particular girls on her class list. Sad to me that by 8 she had already experienced bullies she wants to avoid.
The outfits for the first 3 days are selected and laid out, hair is pink and straightened, backpack is jammed full, lunch is packed, alarm is set; now if she would calm down enough to sleep we'd be good to go!
My sweet little child wants to grow up so fast... Sweet dreams, sweet pea!
